Get people curious about you and what you’re building.
If you’re interested in building your first game, your Bio is how the vibecode.game community gets to know you as a creator. You don’t need a shipped game to get started. Here are some tips for writing a Bio that gives people a reason to follow your journey.
What to write about
Not sure where to start? Try answering one or two of these questions:
- What got you into gaming, and what made you want to start making games?
- What are you building, or what kind of game do you want to build?
- What do you do outside of gaming that might show up in the games you make?
- What’s a game you’ve always loved, and why?
Your answers don’t need to be polished. The goal is to give people a glimpse into your story and what drives you as a creator.
A few things worth considering
- Go deeper on your genres and tools. Your Bio is a great place to share more about what draws you to those games or what you’re trying to figure out with your toolkit.
- Mention where you’re from. Saying a little about where you’re from can add context to how you see games, and it’s often the first thing that starts a real connection with someone reading about you.
- New builder? Write about the games that got you here. Your perspective as a player is an interesting part of your creator journey, and it can say more about you as a builder than you might think.
Example
I’ve spent years losing track of time playing city builders. Now I’m creating my first game on Verse8, a resource management game where rival factions chip away at everything you’ve built. Born and raised in Seoul, I spend all my weekends at PC bangs and love watching esports. I have a soft spot for games that make you feel clever.
