Game Description
Neon Cipher is a cyberpunk puzzle game where players clear different sectors by solving two types of challenges. Some sectors require matching symbols to reach a target score, while others test players with short logic questions. As players complete each sector, they earn credits that unlock the next one, with each level becoming slightly more challenging than the last.
The goal is simple: think, solve, and keep progressing.
Gameplay Mechanics
Players begin by selecting a sector from the map.
- In Match Sectors, players swap neighbouring tiles to match three identical symbols in a row and earn points.
- In Logic Sectors, players read a question, type their answer, and submit it.
- Completing a sector rewards the player with credits and unlocks the next challenge.
The game follows a simple loop: Choose a sector → Solve the challenge → Earn credits → Unlock the next sector → Repeat.

What Makes Neon Cipher Different?
Instead of focusing on only one type of puzzle, Neon Cipher combines visual matching puzzles with logic challenges. This keeps gameplay fresh by encouraging both quick thinking and problem-solving as players progress.
Theme
The game takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk world filled with neon lights and digital sectors. Players work through different areas, solving puzzles to unlock new parts of the city.
AI Tools Used
I used Minds by Animoca Brands to design and build the game.
AI helped me:
- Brainstorm the game’s structure.
- Generate the initial playable version.
- Refine the gameplay through feedback.
- Adjust the level difficulty.
- Add the “How to Play” tutorial.
- Iterate on the game until I was happy with the final experience.
Rather than replacing creativity, AI acted like a collaborative game design partner. I described my ideas in plain language, tested the game, shared feedback, and AI quickly updated the game based on those changes.
