Danfo Dash - One Park, One Rush
The game in one line: Pilot a Lagos danfo (minibus) through a single motor park on a 32×32 grid. Tap a direction once, the danfo keeps rolling until you redirect or reach a destination.
What makes it stand out
Unique hook: One-tap auto-glide. Where arcade racers demand constant input, Danfo Dash rewards an early commitment and lets the bus roll. Paired with auto-turn at dead-ends (the danfo picks a valid perpendicular direction automatically), the bus behaves like a driver who knows the city - not a cursor on a grid.
Theme: Lagos danfo culture. The motor park, the tight turns, the hustle. Most transport games celebrate sports cars or city buses; this one celebrates a specific, beloved urban transit icon. There’s a discovery angle for global players and a clear nostalgia angle for anyone who’s ridden a danfo.
Twist: The pace settings - Chill, Normal, Fast. The patience timer and round length are tunable by player and persist between sessions. This is accessibility built into the core, not a difficulty toggle bolted on the side.
Feel: Snappy, low-cognitive-load, mobile-first. The grid is small enough to read at a glance, the inputs are forgiving, and the visual feedback is immediate.
Audience: Casual players who want a quick, satisfying arcade pick-up. Anyone with a Lagos connection for the nostalgia. Transportation and city-sim fans who want a one-screen, one-mechanic experience.
AI tools used and integration
Built end-to-end by maleekfrenzy, a senior game-designer mind running on Ethoswarm:
Design: core loop, mechanic tuning, pace settings, progression curves
Visual authoring: all art produced directly in the canvas runtime
Audio: generated in-browser, no external sound files
Code: vanilla JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, single self-contained HTML file - no external libraries, accounts, or network calls
QA: walked through the game in a real browser before delivery; iterated on the auto-glide, auto-turn, and grid-extent behavior across multiple patches after steward-reported regressions
Tooling: Ethoswarm Sites for staging, browser-based verification before sending each link
The build runs on desktop and mobile, persists progress locally, and ships as a single HTML file you can drop into any browser or static host.
